1940s Newspaper Stand Paperweight

Vintage LIFE Magazine double sided cast iron newspaper newsstand paperweight.

Wartime era circa 1940s heavy cast iron piece originally used at newsstands or editorial desks. Raised lettering is cast as part of the original mold and is not applied or added later.

Original red and white paint remnants remain with natural wear and patina. No repainting or restoration. Wear is consistent with age and use but extremely good shape compared to others out there. 

A genuine mid 20th century newsstand utility object directly tied to American print and photojournalism history. Not a modern reproduction
